Training

Do you want to know the secrets to preparing the best Espresso? Then why not enrol in one of our unique and enjoyment filled Barista classes.

The classes are run on Tuesday evening from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm, at the cost of $125.00 per person, where we give you all the best tips and techniques on how to make the highest quality Coffees at home or in the office.

Each class is tailored to the needs of the student, where we assess everything from your own personal needs, right through to the equipment you use.

These step by step classes are designed to give the most complete espresso making platform to those people who’ve never had any formal training but want to learn how to make the best Coffee.

At the end of our course you’ll have the confidence and ability to maximise your Coffee experience and be confident to entertain your guests and friends every time you turn on your machine.

Positions in one of our classes are available by paying when you book, with our operator on standby to give you a list of all of our available dates to choose from and if you require more advanced training or training on specific issues, we will be happy to tailor a class accordingly.

We also stock copies of John Doyle’s wonderful book “Barista Techniques” which is an approved CIT Hospitality Course textbook (edited by our Managing Director), valued at $49.

Cosmorex Coffee is a member of AASCA (Australasian Speciality Coffee Association) and ACTA (Australian Coffee Traders Association). Our Roasting Master is on the Panel of Coffee Judges for the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (Fine Food section / Royal Easter Show).  He is also an accredited barista judge in the Australian Barista Championships and participated as both a Technical and Sensory judge at this year’s ACT state finals.
